The Hope Closet exists to serve the needs in our church and community, free of charge as a way to communicate the love of God, who sees and wants to supply all our needs.
We provide a place for immediate provision of practical needs primarily for church members and families serving foster, adoption, Safe Families and wider Kankakee community.

Hope Closet maintains a ready supply of essential items for immediate distribution to families in need, including (but not limited to):

• Car seats
• Clothing
• Shoes
• Toys
• Diapers

We need 3 people each week to be available in the closet for when guests arrive. We will greet them and help them shop for what they need. As we hear of needs in our community we will fill a bag and have it ready for them to pick up. Any extra time is used to sort donation bags and hang them in the closet to replace items taken. Anyone in need of children's clothing and necessities are welcome to shop the closet. We want foster, Safe Family and adoptive moms to have resources through this ministry. Moms in our church are encouraged to use it! Any local families who have a need are welcome to come shop. We want to be a place were we share what we have and receive what we need. A place of blessing to each other!

We will accept donations on Wednesdays from 10am-12pm and Sunday mornings only. Please label the bag by size and make sure it is clean and free from stains, rips or animal hair. Thank you!!! We could not do this without all your help!
